Where You From?

Where You From?

Where You From?

The Yorkshire Post’s Arts Reporter, Nick Ahad, has just made his first short film – Where You From? – and it can be seen on my showreel page (http://www.alanjmoore.com/rave/myWimpy.html).

The film stars Deborah McAndrew from Coronation Street.

This was an enjoyable project and had one of the shortest deadlines I’ve ever worked to (a couple of nights!).  It goes to show just what can be achieved without a budget but an enthusiastic and talented cast and crew.

Hope you like my piano-based soundtrack too, of course ;-)

Where You From?

May 28th, 2009 by Alan

My new score for a short film called ‘Where You From?‘ was completed in just two evenings!

The film is the work of Nick Ahad, the arts correspondent at the Yorkshire Post.

Nick was recently commissioned to make his first short film (it was a pitching competition run by the Bradford City Of Film project by an arts company called Fabric).

The film’s being screened at a premiere event in Bradford along with five other films.  It’s also being screened at the cinema tent at the Bradford Mela and hopefully will be screened at the National Media Museum.

I enjoyed this project a lot and I wish Nick all the best for the film and his filmmaking career.

Night Fishing: cast and crew screening

April 2nd, 2008 by Alan

Night Fishing‘ has been screened to cast and crew at the Hyde Park Cinema in Leeds.

It’s a 10 minute short film by Joe Hepworth (Shot in the Dark Productions) which is dialogue free and gives the music plenty of limelight!

My thanks to Lauren Bedford for playing the violin so splendidly.
